The Ringling Courtyard and Michael's on East Wedding Sneak Peek!

On January 2nd, we had the pleasure of being a part of a beautiful wedding. As all Floridians know, these past couple weeks we've been faced with unseasonably cold weather. A wonderful change from the heat, but when we have weddings outside, we always hope for flawless weather.

In this instance, the Bride and Groom had a fabulous wedding planner, Nicole Kaney from NK Productions who helped them make the decision to change venues and move their reception in doors.

They kept their ceremony at the stunning Ringling Courtyard in Sarasota and moved their reception to Michael's on East's Ballroom.

Their ceremony was beautiful keeping with the traditional and always a favorite, all white.

The reception was a combination of different shades of coral flowers consisting of amaryllis, tulips, roses, ranunculus and tuberous heather.

Happy New Year!

We started off the New Year (or really New Year's Eve) with a spectacular wedding! There is nothing we love more than working with fabulous clients and then on top of that add in amazing vendors, and you really can't go wrong!

Below is a sneak peek image from the ceremony from the wonderful Garrett Nudd and a snippet of the couple's wedding video from the talented Jeffrey Stoner.






We were thrilled to be a part of this wedding. Not only did we create the all of the floral decor, but we also facilitated all of the lighting and the big surprise for the bride, a snow machine! This completed her winter wonderland look as she and her new husband had their first dance!

A MAJOR kudos to all of the vendors involved including the guys mentioned above, The Ritz Carlton Sarasota and last but certainly not the least, the fabulous ladies of E-Events - Lisa, Nancy and Jessy for making the day flawless!

We are so thrilled here at Botanica that Ian was nominated as Event Solution's "Designer of the Year"! Just last week we learned Ian was selected by judges as one of nine finalists in the country for this award!

We love Peonies!

Our current "love" of the moment is peonies. Traditionally they are a June flower. However, just these past two weeks we've been thrilled about getting in some beautiful cranberry red colored peonies!

If you're an end of May or June bride, take advantage of something not all Brides have the opportunity to enjoy... PEONIES! They are available in various colors and such a beautiful and stunning flower. We're busy with Holiday events this week, but we wanted to take a moment to share.

Brides.com and Brides Florida Networking Event

On November 11th we had the honor of being one of many fabulous vendors asked to participate in the annual Brides.com and Brides Florida Magazine Networking Event.

Ian worked with Aymee Brace of Brides Florida Magazine and Ashly Olivier of Olivier Events to design an event that was just out of this world! Unfortunately Brides, it was vendors only. But we had a great time nonetheless, and everyone involved really went above and beyond to make this event such a HUGE success!

Don CeSar Fall Inspired Wedding

Last month we were a part of a beautiful fall wedding at the Don CeSar in St. Pete Beach, FL.

Something we love about Fall is the color scheme. The deep orange and rich red colors are something that not all Brides can (or should) take advantage of. And two months out of the year, it's the perfect way to take your Florida wedding and give it that warm Autumn feel - the weather we Floridians love, even if our average temperature is still in the high 80s!! :)
