Wedding Season in FULL Bloom!

Pardon the pun! But May was quite the popular and busy wedding month! We had several beautiful weddings all over Tampa, St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Orlando and Sarasota! Stay tuned as we will continue to post more pictures from these fabulous weddings as we get them in!

The wedding below was at The Ritz-Carlton in Sarasota. It was our first time working with Nicole Kaney from NK Productions www.nkproductions.net and it was such a wonderful experience, she was amazing to work with! Below are a couple "sneak peak" shots taken by Jennifer Angeloro Photography. www.JenniferAngeloro.com

The wedding consisted of all coral flowers consisting of only roses and peonies. The bride's vision included all monochromatic arrangements, (pictured below) utilizing all roses for the large centerpieces and arrangements of peonies and roses for her low table arrangements. Her cake was a combination of both peonies and roses.

Peter and Tatiana's Wedding

One of our most recent events was the celebration of Peter and Tatiana's wedding on April 18th, 2009. They were married on the Beach at The Sand Pearl in Clearwater, FL.

Tatiana came to us with a beautiful vision which we were so happy to create for her. Along with the floral decor, we were able to help Tatiana with linen rentals and chair covers including some custom China pieces that she paired with pieces of the Sand Pearl's.

She had quite the team of vendors - Photography courtesy of the wonderful Jerry McGaghey www.JerryMcGaghey.com, the custom paper pieces were created by Not From a Box www.NotFromaBox.com and of course the wonderful team at The Sand Pearl Resort.

For her centerpieces we used a combination of flowers in all pinks, ivories and chartreuse greens. Including, green antique hydrangeas, dendrobium orchids, lilies, roses, tulips and lisianthus. As for her bouquet, you'll notice the latest trend of cascades coming back in fashion.

Workin' Hard for the Money!

This past weekend we had the honor of providing and designing the decor for the wedding of Amanda Sudano and Abner Ramirez. Amanda is the daughter of Bruce and Donna Sudano, better known as musical legend, Donna Summer. Donna is known for such hits as 'Last Dance' (a wedding favorite), 'Love to Love You Baby' and many more.

The wedding had a Moroccan theme - with the decor in beautiful shades of pinks, blushes, peach and creams. We used peonies, garden roses, tulips and ranunculus to create a lush and elegant look. We don't have pictures (yet) but stay tuned.

The Bride, Groom and Bride's family were such a pleasure to work with. Amanda did a majority of the planning from a far, residing in Tennessee, with the wedding being held at her parent's home in South Florida. She enlisted the help of wedding planner Sandy Rule (www.sandyruleevents.com) to handle all of the details and create a flawless and fabulous event.

During the planning process, we learned the true meaning of "the apple doesn't fall far from the tree". The Bride and Groom are a musical duo and their work together can only be described as beautiful - they are quite the talented bride and groom. (see pictured below).

With that being said, we encourage you to check out their website/facebook and myspace pages - JohnnySwim is the name of this dynamic duo. www.JohnnySwim.com - our forte is flowers, but I'm sure you'll agree that they are quite fabulous together!

Thank you....

We are lucky to have so many wonderful Brides and Grooms here at Botanica. We most recently had such a special couple who were so sweet to sent a a note of appreciation for their wedding decor.

Dear Ian and Zoë,

Thank you so much for designing the most beautiful wedding we have ever been to. We truly have never seen an event so perfect and gorgeous. The flowers were spectacular. The ceremony room, mandap and reception room were so much more than we even dreamt of! Thank you for your kindness and creativity. You made the wedding of our dreams a reality.

Best Wishes,
P & S

The Little Black Book Blog

One of our favorite blogs is The Little Black Book Blog. We love this blog because it has fabulous ideas and as described on their site is the perfect blog for the "style obsessed bride" (but we'd also like to include - the style obsessed vendors as well). :)

The real weddings and the details that it highlights are so chic and elegant - how can you not love this site! We might be a little bias since we were chosen as one of their "Best Wedding Vendors", but check out the site and you'll fall in love... this gives TheKnot.com a run for their money!!

This week we were honored to have one of our weddings featured on their site. With the help of one of our favorite photographers, Michael Schuhmann, www.photographybymichael.com he captured a few of the several beautiful moments and details from this wedding.

So please, enjoy and check it out!

2009 Bride's Choice Award Winner!

WeddingWire, the nation’s leading wedding technology company, just announced that Botanica International Design Studio has won the 2009 Bride’s Choice Awards™!

In its inaugural year, the Bride’s Choice Awards recognizes and honors vendors from the WeddingWire Network that demonstrate excellent quality of service, responsiveness, professionalism, value of cost and flexibility. This year’s recipients represent the top three percent of WeddingWire’s vendor community, which includes over 100,000 wedding vendors from across the US. That means Botanica International Design Studio is one of the very best Floral event companies in the Tampa Bay area.

Unlike other awards in which winners are selected by the company, the Bride’s Choice Awards are determined exclusively by recent newlyweds through surveys and reviews.

“We are excited to launch this annual award program to honor high-performing vendors based solely on the experiences of our WeddingWire community,” according to Timothy Chi, WeddingWire’s Chief Executive Officer. “This year’s recipients have set the bar high, exhibiting excellent service and expertise in the wedding industry.”

Botanica International Design Studio would like to thank our past clients for speaking on our behalf and helping us win the 2009 Bride’s Choice Award!
