Wednesday Inspiration

We came across this picture and LOVE the idea of such an interesting structure for ceremonies. You could use it as inspiration for the overall décor for your wedding or just a statement piece at your ceremony. Simply add some natural looking elements like benches, lanterns, and unconstructed floral arrangements to achieve a romantic casual elegance. Can you just image how amazing your photos would be in front of this? Talk about romantic!

We love lounge furniture!

If you are looking to create a fun and dynamic element to any party or wedding, consider adding a lounge area. Whether it’s a pre-function space for cocktails, or an “after glow” following your reception, pair some furniture with lighting, draping, floral décor, and props and you will be on your way to making an environment that is unique to your style and event.

This past weekend, we had a wedding under a tent on the beach and to provide something a little different and unique as an entry for guests, the planner arranged an entry tent. We took the tent and transformed it into a foyer, suspending a mirror over a mirrored credenza paired with a coffee table and lounge chairs, add flowers and candles and Voila!

Below are just a couple of images from past events where we've incorporated lounge furniture.

Redefining the term "something borrowed" for your wedding day!

Think you can’t afford those designer accessories you desperately want to accent your fabulous wedding gown? Think again ladies! Whether its diamonds, pearls, or vintage couture you are after, Avelle.com is the place to be. You can rent these items for a specific event, or even enjoy them for a month or two. It’s the Netflix of fashion!

The new, “Bag, Borrow or Steal” received some great exposure in the 2008, “Sex and the City” movie. Since then, its popularity has grown exponentially which can lead to wait lists on their most coveted items. So as you envision your wedding day look, don’t forget that your “borrowed” can be just a click away.

Below are just a few of our favorites! (mind you, we were going to just upload a few of our favorites, but hey, we figured, why not put them all up!)
This Badgley Mischka clutch - TO DIE FOR!

Chanel Flower bracelet - sign us up for the matching necklace!

Charriol Flamme Blanche Earrings - for the more traditional sophisticated Bride

Judith Leiver Streamline Evening Bag - Oscar worthy!

Tiffany & Co. Aria Dop Earrings - pure elegance

Chanel Vintage Clear Sautoir Necklace - the name speaks for itself.

and the piece de la resistance...

Judith Ripka Estate Diamond Cuff

We'll take one of each please! Happy Shopping!!!

Favorite Trend Thursday

One of our favorite trends right now, is the use of gathered vintage vessels and objects. This look can be elegant and fun without the fuss. Using a collection of these unique items with some added natural elements can make your table eclectic, personal, and fabulous. The use of larger blooms brings more impact for fewer items. Try scouring your local flea markets, antique shops, etsy.com or even craigslist.com to find your favorite containers.

This look is best used on rectangular "feasting" style tables or even square tables. This versatile look can help you capture a more casual and relaxed "fresh picked wildflower" look, or could even taper on the sophisticated elegant look by incorporating more traditional pieces such as antique silver.

Happy hunting!

Drum roll please....

We are SOO THRILLED to announce that Ian Prosser was voted as Event Solutions Designer of the Year!!

We are all so happy and proud of Ian - he is such a deserving person! We'd like to thank all of our friends, clients and family members who helped spread the word and VOTED! We cannot thank everyone enough!

A huge congratulations as well for our friend, Alexis Machin of conceptBAIT for being voted as the Event Solutions "Rising Star".

At the event in Las Vegas, we were so happy to have so many friends from Tampa present and of course it's always wonderful to have Tampa represented at these national awards. There were almost NINE finalists in multiple categories from the Tampa area, which we think says quite a lot of our always growing community - the talent here is just amazing!

We'll also be rooting for several of our friends in the industry as they too make the trip out to Vegas for the awards! Congratulations to all of the finalists!!!
