Sweet Thanks
We thought we'd share very nice Thank You we received today from another satisfied client. Enjoy!
Ian and Zoe,
I just wanted to thank you both for the really beautiful flowers at Griffin and Tom's wedding this past weekend at the Crosley Estate. Everyone was blown away by the arrangements and loved the chandelier in the tent. I have been to many weddings, including the wedding of my other daughter, and I have to admit that the ceremony flowers were the prettiest I had ever seen.
Griffin had a very definite vision of what she wanted it to look like and you knew how to make it happen even when I had a hard time visualizing it!
I do think people enjoyed the fact that it didn't all look like traditional wedding flowers. I just wanted you to know that we appreciate all the work that went into making a beautiful event for a special day.
Sincerely,
Sharon Miller

Chair Trend
We have been seeing more expression in chair choice since the unique chair trend began last year. It is so fun to see people use chairs as their pops of color or a mixture of different chairs to show off their eclectic side. Sometimes it's hard to stray away from the typical chivari as they are easy to access and mostly an affordable choice. If you have to go the classic chivari route, consider using a bright color to bring out some playfulness in the overall design.

Ceremony Decor
When thinking about ceremony decor it is easy to fall in love with rose petal aisles, pew markers, and opulent structures. All of these are beautiful options but if you are working with a budget, perhaps consider using floral and decor options that can be re-purposed within your reception, such as large arrangements, garlands, or candles.
Here is a gorgeous rose petal aisle that looks amazing for ceremony but after the vows are said and its party time, you can't enjoy it anymore.
This lily garland is lovely and unique. The best part is that it can be moved into your party post ceremony!

Orlando Wedding Feature
We have been featured in the most recent edition of Orlando Wedding Magazine! The elegant wedding of former WKMG-Channel 6 news anchor, Jacqueline London and former NFL tight end, Tony McGee took place at Knowles Chapel, Winter Park and The Ritz-Carlton, Grande Lakes. The floral decor consisted of beautiful assortment of white flowers, such as blooming branches, dendrobium orchids, and french tulips. We were so happy to take part in their special day!
Our hats go off to the fabulous vendors that made it all happen!

Botanica Team Spotlight
Happy New Year! We thought we would step into 2011 spotlighting some of our fantastic team so you can get to know us a little better. Today we will start with Zoe Gallina, Botanica's Event Account and Marketing Coordinator. Below are a few Questions we asked Zoe.
1. How long have you worked for Botanica and how did you get your start?
4 and ½ years – I was raised in this industry, so it was a natural transition/progression after I graduated college.
2. What is your favorite part about working for Botanica or the event industry itself?
I love the creativity that it allows – but most favorite, the fact that you have the honor of being involved in one of the most important and exciting day of someone’s life. Being involved in that day, from the very beginning of their planning stages through seeing the final end result of seeing how beautiful the bride looks, how perfectly everything has come together and how amazing the reception and ceremony sites look are my absolute favorite parts and of course, a happy Bride and Groom. Seeing that you have taken their vision, brought it to life and in most cases, exceeded their expectations is the most fulfilling feeling.
3. What is your favorite flower?
I have SOOO many favorites, but of all, peonies.
4. What is your favorite thing to do when NOT working?
Hanging out with my husband, family and friends.
5. What are you looking forward to most in 2011? So very many things, but work-related – seeing the Brides we’ve been working with for the past year’s wedding come together and meeting new ones.
We are so glad Zoe enjoys Botanica as much as she is loved by all of us. She is such an unsung hero and essential part of our company. Stay tuned for more spotlights to come.
